As winter thaws with spring’s light
And summer sets the test
Autumn cools the summer burn
And winter lets us rest

The pattern set
With holy hand
Earth spinning
At God’s command

Frost gives way to glory’s rays
And heat refines the pilgrim way
Autumn brings a harvest rich
And winter makes us blessed
